When my brother died I was a complete mess, and it was seeping into all aspects of my life. After researching and interviewing potential therapists, I was fortunate enough to begin therapy with Beth. I had no idea how to synthesize my pain from my brother’s death; I had no idea how to synthesize most of my emotions. Beth taught me that there is a process and once I began to unravel that process piece by piece, I came out the other side a very different and better person than when I started. Emotional pain is no longer frightening to me, nor am I prone to avoid emotional arenas in my life. I invite them, move them through them and find comfort in giving them a good space to exist. Had I not worked with Beth, I believe I would never have learned how to process and synthesize my emotions. Over the years Beth has introduced different types of therapies and we have delved into them to find the ones that motivated me with the best results. Therapy is not rote or stale with Beth, nor is it lonely or frightening. I have an enlightened view of myself and it helps me move throughout the world more relaxed, aware and joyous. I have been seeing Beth for over 5 years and I am so thankful to have found her and to have made the personal progress I've made during this time. I've seen counselors and therapists on and off again since I was a teenager and none of them ever really worked the way it has been with Beth. We have a wonderful trusting and safe relationship and because of that I feel like I am more capable of being vulnerable enough to do the really tough work with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone trying to find a good connection with someone to work through the hard things. She's helped me change my perspective on long term issues and manage my stress, anxiety and depression without ignoring it but by feeling it and processing it in a healthier way.
