Beth Holt Wright, LCSW has been a licensed psychotherapist for over 20 years. She obtained her BA in Psychology from the University of Richmond in 1994 cum laude with departmental honors and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1997. She is one out of about 4300 clinicians worldwide recognized by the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA) as being fully certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy that has a wealth of research supporting its efficacy in treating people with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, addiction, complicated grief, performance anxiety and the full spectrum of abuse and disturbing memories. Symptom reduction has been shown to be more rapid with EMDR than other therapy modalities. Beth is also certified in Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT) and has been trained in Hakomi and other body centered therapies, dream work, and mindfulness based stress reduction. No matter what brings you to therapy, Beth adheres to the principle that every client is unique and needs individualized treatment in therapy.
